The Federal Advisory Committee was created by NAGE/IBPO's National Executive Board at the 2006 National Convention. Members in good standing are appointed to an advisory committee for the Public Safety Division, EMT's and Paramedics Division, Federal Division, State Division and Local Divisions as well as any other division that may be created. Every member of the Advisory Committee serves at the pleasure of the National President.

The Federal Advisory Committee currently consists of four subcommittees and 21 members. The purpose of the Committee is to advise the National President, the National Executive Committee and the National Executive Board on policy issues effecting federal employees. The Federal Advisory Committee meets in person once a year.

Federal Advisory Subcommittees are as follows:

  • Legislative Subcommittee
  • Partnership and Forums Subcommittee
  • Recruitment Subcommittee
